My client's website has multiple blog posts focusing on similar (almost similar) keywords. None of the pages is ranking for any keywords though as of now. What should be my approach to tackle this situation?

Check search console. Find out which blog posts cannibalise on which keywords.
Decide, which of the blog posts are the most important and keep these. Rewrite the others, if possible. Otherwise, take them down. While you're at it, create a keyword map for the existing blog posts and then add keyword lists for new content, making sure there's no further keyword cannibalism.
