I have been working on my client's website for about 6 months now, and we have been creating amazing content including Ultimate Guides, How-To's, Top 5 lists, etc. I see SEMRush Link Opportunities but we have not been receiving any backlinks organically. I am hoping someone has some advice on how to either
- manually source backlinks myself or
- outsource links with the stipulation that they are do-follow from a reputable site. I have the technical SEO and content creation covered, but this is really where I struggle.
Buying backlinks has been working really well for us. But you got to do it smartly with the anchor text placements. Plus you got to ensure the sites are relevant with decent traffic and not spammy. I'd stay away from sites with declining traffic. Also, I agree that getting no follow links works, especially if you can get them from good authority sites in your niche. If you have the time, I would recommend doing it yourself or hire a resource. Outsourcing to a reputable company is worth it but can be expensive.
